Cre-8 A Decorative Wall Gallery
During our global travels, Brian and I have acquired some beautiful handmade artwork. So, I decided to create a gallery of a few pieces on a big, blank wall in our master bedroom.
Step 1: Begin by hanging the largest piece on the wall where you like it best to form an anchor for the remaining artwork.
Step 2: Place the remaining pieces on a long piece of butcher paper on the floor. After outlining all of the various frames, label them as shown with blue paint tape with identifying letters to keep them organized. Cut the shapes from the butcher paper and begin placing them around the large center frame to find the right blend.
When creating your gallery, consider how you wish to blend different shapes, sizes, colors and textures to produce a visually interesting and dynamic gathering of artwork.
Step 3: Once you’ve determined the placement of each piece, simply hang frames on small nails to secure them to the wall. Voilà! You now have an extraordinary gallery display of your favorite artwork!
